Beta Homes
Beta Homes provides a safe and nurturing home with structure and supervision to provide stability to the men and women with a mental illness and/or intellectual disability who live there. The emphasis on physical and mental health maximizes their ability to live successfully in the community. The goal of increased good health also ensures greater integration with their community and minimizes hospitalizations for mental or physical health issues.

Independent Living Program
The Independent Living Program provides living skills training and support to adults with intellectual disabilities who live and work in the community. This includes money management; household maintenance; social skills training; and good decision making/problem solving skills. Training is individualized based on each person’s needs and skill level.

Sunshine Early Intervention
Sunshine Early Intervention provides developmental therapy services to children birth to three that have been identified as having a disability or delay. Because our developmental therapists become partners with families and caregivers, a collaborative effort can be made to ensure the best quality developmental services are being provided in the natural environment and during daily routines. By understanding how to embed learning opportunities into everyday routines, families, caregivers, and developmental therapists aid in acquiring those important developmental skills at a much quicker pace because identified skills are practiced all day long.

Sunshine Industries
Sunshine Industries provides vocational training for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through learning how to work on different factory-type contracts. Workers learn good work habits as well as gain experience working on different jobs and hopefully increase their productivity over time. They also earn regular paychecks based on their production, which contributes to their ability to live more independently.

“Our goal in every one of our programs is to help people with intellectual disabilities become as independent as possible”

Judy Wholwend, Executive Director
