Interfaith Hospitality Network & Going Home, Staying Home
Family Promise of Knoxville’s flagship program Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) hosts families with children experiencing homelessness in the only family shelter program within Knox County. With the dynamic support of 35 + faith-based congregations totaling more than 1500 volunteers, we provide our guest families with trauma-informed care, personally tailored case management, and the warmth of a supportive community response to a family’s hardest season. Following their graduation out of IHN, families continue to receive specialized case management, referrals/resources, and supportive services through our Going Home, Staying Home program.

Safe-Keeping Prevention & Diversion Services
Safe-Keeping Prevention & Diversion Services seeks to get “upstream” and keep families from becoming homeless, in the first place. Through rental or utility assistance, we can catch families before the process of eviction begins. Diversion, on a different level, seeks to rapidly rehouse families into sustainable housing.

“Our focus is on children and keeping the structure of family together during the incredibly tough time of homelessness.”

Ms. Mary LeMense, Former Executive Director
