Mentor 2.0 Program
Mentor 2.0 is a technology-enriched mentorship program BBBS-ETN offers high school youth by partnering with Knox County Schools. Embedded at South-Doyle High School, Mentor 2.0 combines Big Brothers Big Sisters’ proven mentoring and college-readiness curriculum models. We enroll incoming 9th-grade students in a holistic four-year program, including college preparedness lessons, relationship-building with long-term adult mentors, a secure digital community, and in-person events that prepare young people to graduate from high school, enroll in post-secondary pathways, and succeed in life.

One-to-One Mentoring Program
For 50 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee’s (BBBS-ETN) One-to-One Program has provided a proven mentorship model so that every Knox County child can succeed and thrive. Through BBBS-ETN’s One-to-One Program, youth (Littles), ages 6 through 18 – and young adults through age 23, thanks to our new Postsecondary Success Program – are paired with adult volunteers (Bigs) to build robust, enduring, and transformational mentoring relationships. Services take place in Knox County Schools, community settings, and virtually and include recruiting and enrolling children and adult volunteers, supporting effective mentoring relationships and family needs, and tracking progress and impact in the lives of children.

“When you have a mentor, you have someone to help you find that spark; to help you find that thing that’s you, that you can do and find your potential…”

Brent Waugh, CEO
