Education
Helping children and young adults achieve their true potential
United Way improves education in Greater Knoxville by focusing on three target issues: School Readiness, Academic Achievement, and Life Readiness
goals
School
Readiness
We narrow the gap between low and high performing students. Students enter school developmentally on track and proficient in needed literacy and numeracy skills.
Academic
Achievement
Elementary students are prepared to succeed in middle school and middle school students are prepared to succeed in high school.
Life
Readiness
We prepare students to be productive and engaged young adults beyond school. Participating in our community in non-academic and volunteer opportunities.
