Connections – $90,000
Connections provides supportive services to families involved in the Knox County Juvenile Court and their specialized Family Recovery Court and the Interchange Program in order to reduce repeated contact with the courts and encourage recovery from substance use disorders.
Continuum for Permanency Services – $68,000
This program provides a safe, supportive family environment in which children can live as normal a life as possible with the opportunities to learn and become self-sufficient as they approach adulthood. Youth in protective care and their families (if appropriate) living in Knox County ages 8-18 are provided highly individualized services.
Family Crisis Center – $70,000
This program provides a safe environment and offer specialized services in partnership with the community for adults and children experiencing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking in Knox County.
Great Starts/New Beginnings for Families – $28,195
Great Starts/New Beginnings for Families offers services that will prevent infant abandonment and provide a chemical-free environment for addicted women, and their children, through a residential substance abuse treatment program.
Great Starts Nursery – $21,675
A program that serves children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years who are born drug exposed or addicted to one or more substance. The nursery assists the children to get developmentally on track to be successful in school.
LIFE Afterschool – $25,500
This program serves foster care youth ages 12 to 18. LIFE provides afterschool enrichment learning opportunities for foster youth that reinforces their classroom lessons and engages them in creative ways to encourage curiosity and support school learning to become capable and self-sufficient adults.
Parent Place – $27,000
Parent Place is a supervised visitation program, where positive parent/child interaction is encouraged in a non-threatening environment.
Partners for Child Abuse Prevention – $42,000
This program seeks to end the abuse and neglect of children in Knox County. This is accomplished by providing prenatal assessment and services, parenting and life skill classes, referrals for case management, ongoing community education events and advocacy services that strengthen families and protect the welfare of children.
PleasanTree Apartments – $25,000
PleaanTree Apartments provides a safe living environment and offer specialized supportive services in partnership with the community for mentally ill women and their children located in Knox County who experience homelessness.
Project Against the Sexual Abuse of Appalachian Children (PASAAC) – $75,000
This programs focus on caring for the emotional well-being of children, adults, and family members who have been affected by trauma, sexual or otherwise.
ReDirections Adolescent Alcohol & Drug Services – $5,103
The ReDirections program gives youth the opportunity to overcome addictions through an intensive outpatient program. The program address the family, the addiction, and the integration back into the community and school.
Sexual Assault Center of East Tennessee Advocacy – $37,000
A program providing services to those who are victims of sexual assault in Knox County.
Sexual Assault Center of East Tennessee – Education – $17,820
This program provides education services to equip Knox County elementary, middle and high school students with tools to ensure their safety and allow them to successfully perform in school. The program provides presentations in local schools and community venues utilizing an evidence-based curriculum which teaches topics including safety skills, bullying, healthy and unhealthy relationships, and conflict resolution.
Therapeutic Preschool – $73,000
Therapeutic Preschool serves children ages 4-6, who have suffered physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse or neglect, or have experienced a major loss or other traumatic event.
Therapy Center – $40,000
The program offers therapy services to individuals and families in Knox County who are otherwise unable to access therapy or mental health care due to a lack of insurance and/or lack of available resources.
Transitional Living for Youth – $20,000
The Transitional Living Program provides services for young adults or older youth who are, or are at-risk of, becoming homeless. These services include advocacy, safe housing, case management, training and skill building.
