United Way of Greater Knoxville’s mission is to help people in Knoxville move towards greater self-sufficiency through focused work in the areas of education, income, health and basic needs. UWGK seeks to improve community conditions for everyone by investing donated dollars in programs that deliver meaningful and measurable results – all to create lasting change in Knox County. We provide resources and funding to nonprofits whose strategies align with ours and invite 501(c)3 organizations that are outstanding in our funding areas to consider applying for grants through our funding opportunities.
The United Way of Greater Knoxville announces the availability of funding in the focus impact area of Health & Basic Needs for a three year grant period from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2020.
- Qualifying applicants must attend one of the mandatory Letter of Intent Information Sessions to be held at United Way of Greater Knoxville, Room 106 on: June 28, 2016 from 2-4:00 p.m. or June 30, 2016 from 9-11:00 a.m. Advance registration is required. - CLICK HERE to download and review the Qualification Requirements. Only those organizations that can meet ALL of the Qualification Requirements may register for the Information Sessions and submit a Letter of Intent.
- Details and instructions regarding the grant process and the application submission will be provided at the June Information Sessions. Letters of Intent will be submitted through an online data management system. Access to the system will be available following the June sessions. The deadline for Letter of Intent submissions is July 29, 2016, no later than 4:00 p.m.
